Principal's Message

  • Weather Alert:

    • Crazy weather week—text blasts sent Monday at 6:15 AM and Wednesday at 6:00 AM for schedule changes.

    • Action Needed: If you did not receive a text, contact Chanely@saintgeorgeseattle.org.

    • If you typed STOP in response, you’ve opted out—please contact us to rejoin notifications.

  • School Schedule:

    • Assume school is on its regular schedule unless you receive a text notification indicating a change.


Key Updates

  • Mandatory State of the School Meeting (Tomorrow 2/6/25): RSVP here

    • Time: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

    • Who: All current families (Preschool - 7th Grade) in the school hall.

    • Highlights:

      • Hear updates on our Shea Foundation remodeling project, new school initiatives, budget health, and the announcement of 25-26 tuition rates and parent participation expectations.

      • Free Child Care provided in the gym.

    • Virtual Option:

      • If school is closed due to weather, the meeting will pivot to a virtual option.

      • This link will also be posted on our school website under Parents/Calendar.

      • Note: We will not offer both in-person and virtual options if school is in session.

  • Re-Registration Reminder:

    • Dates: February 6-25, 2025

    • Important: All registration fees are due during this period; incomplete fees mean registration will not be complete and spots will not be held.

    • Note: There is a HUGE waitlist for Preschool - Kindergarten due to our full classrooms, which allows us more flexibility in staffing to support our students.


Events

  • NO SCHOOL: Friday, Feb. 7 – Archdiocesan Teacher Professional Development.

  • Mid-Winter Break: February 17 – 21.

  • No Study Hall/Working Lunch: Tuesday, Feb. 11-14 – All Learning Specialists will attend a reading instruction conference.

  • Japanese Homestay Program:

    • Dates: March 22 – March 30, 2025

    • Details:

      • Fourth annual Japanese Homestay Week.

      • Looking for St. George families willing to host a middle school Japanese student for a week.

      • The student will attend school daily with your family and experience life in America.

      • Action: Contact me if you are interested in hosting!
