Hello St. George Families,
THANK YOU everyone for abiding by our traffic protocols. Drop-off and Pick-up have been so much smoother and safer for all of us! I also appreciate the extra care given during the heavy rain, as stopping is trickier when the streets are so wet.
Mrs. Metzelaar is still looking for volunteers in the Art room on Fridays for the following classes: 10:15-11:10 (Gr 2), 11:24-12:15 (Gr. 5), 12:35-1:20 (Gr. 1) and 2:00-2:50 (Gr. 4). If you can help any time, contact the office!
I want to thank Robert Singian for being our volunteer website guru for the school for the last 15 years! He runs the website and keeps it updated with current events, our newsletters, and other postings. Robert is finally graduating from St. George this spring with his 8th grader, so we are looking for a volunteer who has website experience and is willing to take over. We use the wix.com platform. All this work can be done from the comfort of your home. If you are interested in earning service hours this way, please contact the main office.
HELP IN THE PRESCHOOL. We are also looking for substitutes who have the required credentials to substitute in preschool from time to time. Candidates must be compliant with Department of Youth and Family Services (DCYF) Merit Background checks, CPR, First Aid, and have some initial training in Child Care Basics class. If you are interested, contact the main office.
Our staff is expanding! Today we hired Jessica Louie, St. George alumna and current Kindergarten parent, to take over as our part-time Development Director. We are excited by Jessica’s energy and love for St. George and are in need of the skillset she brings to our leadership teams. Jessica’s role is to help build our alumni network, cultivate donors, and oversee our fundraising strategies. She will work with our leadership teams and parent community to keep our school on solid footing today, while also building up our capacity for continued growth!
