BIO
Ms. Maria Morris
Reading Specialist
I am a strong believer in the value of a strong Catholic education as it has served me well in life. I attended Holy Rosary Seattle for grade school and then went on to attend Bishop Blanchet. I was well prepared for college and many of my teachers along the way inspired me to follow the same path. I attended Western Washington University and received a BA in Child Development with a Elementary Education Certification. I taught kindergarten, second, and third grade for a combined years. My passion was always in reading instruction. I have taken multiple reading instruction and intervention courses that have prepared me for reading intervention. I found my way to St. George four years ago. I am so happy to be the Reading Specialist and pursue my passion for helping students strengthen their reading skills and catch the “reading bug.”

My favorite out of school activities include spending time with my son, husband, extended family, and friends. I love to travel, spend time at the beach, and enjoy a good book.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the wonderful St. George community. The students, families, faculty and staff at St. George make going to work a joy!
