Q&As

Where do we get Uniforms?

  • Uniforms can be purchased year-round from Dennis Uniform. Please note that there are sometimes long delivery times from Dennis Uniform, so prepare accordingly.

  • St. George families also like to exchange, trade or share outgrown uniforms. @New Families - join our St. George Buy Nothing Group

  • Plaid Skirts & Jumpers, and Royal Blue Button Up Sweaters, V-Neck Sweaters & Vests - must be obtained from Dennis Uniform or from other St. George families

  • St. George Dragon Crewneck Sweatshirts (navy blue) - are uniform-approved and can be worn in lieu of the Royal Blue Sweaters. These can be ordered from our Merchandise sale twice yearly, or obtained from other St. George families.

  • White Polo Shirts and Navy Blue Slacks - can be found at other stores like: Gap, Old Navy, Children’s Place, Costco, Amazon, Target

What are Spirit Days?

  • Spirit Days are days that students may wear St. George Spirit Wear to show off their Blue, Gold and Dragon pride. Jeans and hoodies are acceptable. Shoes must follow normal Dress Code policy unless otherwise determined.

  • First Fridays Spirit Days - on the first Friday of every month, students are allowed to wear a pair of blue or black jeans and any St. George t-shirt or sweatshirt in lieu of their full school uniform.

  • Field Trips - typically allow Spirit Wear unless otherwise specified (determined by the teacher).

  • Examples of Spirit Wear - Gold Dragon t-shirts, Jog-a-thon or other St. George event apparel, St. George Athletics apparel, class designed St. George apparel

  • New Families! Inquire with the office if there is extra spirit wear that you can have at the beginning of the school year to start you off.

What are Free Dress Days?

  • Free Dress Days are days that students can wear non-uniform attire within appropriate means of the normal Dress Code policy (ie. no bellies, spaghetti straps, hats, sagging pants, etc). Students are always required to honor the modesty and Christian values of our uniform policy in whatever clothes they choose to wear.

  • Birthday Free Dress - students get a Free Dress day on their Birthday or a school day closest to their actual Birthday.

  • Free Dress passes may also be earned through various events or incentives during the year.

  • $1.00 Pay to Play - various times in the year, the Student Council will host a Free Dress fundraising theme day in which students can pay $1.00 to participate. These days typically coincide with holidays or other social and cultural events (for example, Blue Friday for Seahawks swag, or dress in pink for breast cancer awareness.)  All proceeds go to support the Student Council or other charities supported throughout the year.

  • Catholic Schools Week & Field Day - these are other school events where Free Dress (within themed guidelines) is allowed.

Family Involvement & Commitments

Parent Club

Service Hours Commitment

Why Service Hours?

  1. Involvement and leadership by our parent-family community is instrumental in keeping our school vibrantly running year round, and sets a positive influence on our students by exemplifying our Vision: to lead our lives as Jesus.  Each year, families commit to volunteering and serving the school in various ways that honor personal time, talents and passions, while strengthening community bonds.

  2. Service is at the forefront of our mission, vision and values. Every member’s contribution of time, talent and passion has a huge impact on our school operations, community bonds and positive influence on our students. The SECRET SAUCE at St. George is the love and care each person gives to be their best, and to lift up others along the way!

  • Every family commits to fulfilling a minimum of 30 service hours each school year, due April 30th. Any hours not fulfilled and submitted will be charged at $30 per hour.

  • There are a variety of ways to earn Service Hours through Parent Club events, on-site volunteering, and more.  See our At-a-glance Events & Service Hours Calendars to discover your options. â€‹

  • Please review our Family Commitment Handout for more information, and refer to your registration documents for your specific commitment details.

Fundraising Commitment

Why do we Fundraise?

  1. Tuition does not cover the full cost of education.  In order to keep our tuition rates affordable and accessible to all families, we rely on the generosity of our community to help us Bridge the Gap

  2. Fundraising is a team effort and requires the passion and dedication of all our families. To do this, we must leverage our networks to support our school and bolster the quality education and programming we provide for our students to thrive. Participation in fundraising events also builds community, promotes teamwork, and helps set a positive example for the students and their exposure to other life skills.

  • Every family commits to fulfilling a minimum of $500 fundraising each school year, due February 28th. Any fundraising not fulfilled will be charged to the family in Finalsite.

  • Families have 2 options to fundraise:  Jog-a-Thon (September) and the Auction (March).

  • Please review our Family Commitment Handout for more information, and refer to your registration documents for your specific commitment details.

How do we order Hot Lunch?

  • Edwin and his team create the menu monthly and publish it out to all families via Principal Wingard’s weekly newsletter (from Chris Hanley in the office), which is also posted online in our Latest News section.  The deadline to order usually falls 1 week prior to the end of the month.  Families may submit cash or check for their lunch order.  Students can submit the orders to their teachers or to the front office.
