St. George Parish School 4th Grade Class
Mrs. Claire Plehal
Let me tell you a little about myself. This year I'm the
fourth grade teacher, I've also worked in our pre-school and
taught 5th grade at St. George. In fact I've had a few
students in both pre-school and 5th grade!
I was born in London, England. Before my first birthday, I found
myself in a box headed for Boston, Massachusetts! My parents
decided to move to America and I slept in a box the stewardess
gave to my mother on the plane. My family lived in Boston and in
Southern California, before arriving in Seattle when I was only
six. I’m no stranger to the Seattle Archdiocese because
I’m a graduate of both St. Anne and Holy Names Academy.
After earning my Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State
College and my Teaching Certification from Western Washington
University, I spent some time traveling in the United States and
several other countries. I’m happy to be back in Seattle
and I feel fortunate for the chance to work at such a great
school with a fantastic group of students.
